LEME fills all available places in the 1st phase of the 2026/2027 national higher education admissions round

The Bachelor's Degree in Mining and Energy Resources Engineering (LEME) at Instituto Superior Técnico has once again filled all its places in the first phase of the 2026/2027 National Admissions Competition, confirming the growing interest in this field of study.
Demand for LEME reflects the increasing importance of mineral and energy resources for the energy transition, for sustainability, and for securing access to the raw materials that society depends on.
For the third consecutive year, incoming students are eligible for the Recursos+ Merit Scholarships, supported by companies in the sector, which cover tuition fees in full throughout the degree. This initiative reflects the strong link between Técnico and industry, and a shared commitment to training a new generation of professionals.
The Department of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineering (DER) welcomes its new students and congratulates them on choosing a field full of challenges and opportunities. A new stage now begins, with much to learn, discover and build. We hope you experience it with curiosity, ambition and enthusiasm. Welcome to Técnico and to LEME!
