Academic Degrees

DER offers 1 Bachelor (1st cycle) and 2 Master (2nd cycle) programs in accordance with the Bologna process, and at the 3rd cycle, DER offers 2 Doctoral Programs, one in Petroleum Engineering and another in Georesources.

These programs are offered in the context of the DER's Scientific Areas:

1st Cycle Programs (BSc)

In the academic year 2024/25, academic merit scholarships, funded by companies of the sector, will be awarded to all students entering the 1st year of the Bachelor’s degree in Mining and Energy Resources Engineering through the general quota (in all phases), in an amount equivalent to the annual tuition fee.

The bachelor's degree corresponds to level 6 of the NQF and EQF.

The master's degree corresponds to level 7 of the NQF and EQF.
