Leading Companies Sponsor Técnico Students in Engineering in Mining and Energy Resources.

There are 20 places available for the Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Mining and Energy Resources at Instituto Superior Técnico, with a special incentive: several companies in the sector are committed to covering the tuition fees of new students admitted through the National Higher Education Access Contest.

This support, part of the Recursos+ program, is the result of a partnership between Técnico and various companies in the mineral and energy resources sector. The main goal is to attract young talent to a strategic field, vital for the energy transition, technological innovation, and both environmental and economic sustainability.

In addition to first-year support, a set of scholarships will fully cover the three years of the program, especially benefiting students with the highest admission grades.

This initiative is more than just financial aid — it reflects a strong commitment to the future of a sector that is key to national and European development. Throughout the degree, students benefit from close contact with the industry, including technical visits, seminars with professionals, summer internships, and real-world applied projects.

The connection between academia and industry becomes even stronger at the master's level, with curricular internships, interdisciplinary projects, and dissertations developed in collaboration with partner companies.

Graduates enjoy a wide range of career opportunities in technology and industrial companies, research centres, public and international organisations, and innovative startups working in energy and sustainability.

This multidisciplinary training combines knowledge in earth sciences, engineering, energy systems, and sustainability, preparing highly skilled and versatile professionals ready to tackle the challenges of the future.
