The Recursos+ Academic Merit Scholarships, launched in the 2024/2025 academic year, are the result of a partnership between the Department of Mining and Energy Resources Engineering (DER) and several companies from the mineral and energy resources sectors.

This partnership enables the full tuition fees to be covered by industry for students enrolling in the first year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Mining and Energy Resources Engineering (LEME) through the National Higher Education Access Competition.

The challenges of the Energy Transition and the Digital Transition are global, leading to a growing shortage of engineers in this field worldwide. In response, several companies have chosen to support the training of these students.
