Summer School – Well-Logging and Formation Evaluation

The Department of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineering (DER) at Instituto Superior Técnico organizes the Summer School Well-Logging and Formation Evaluation. This programme provides intensive advanced training focused on reservoir characterization.

The Summer School offers a specialized technical approach in a critical area for the energy industry: the acquisition and interpretation of well-logging data and the evaluation of geological formations in exploration contexts. The programme combines theoretical foundations with practical applications, enabling participants to develop essential skills in subsurface data analysis.

Aimed at MSc and PhD students, as well as early-career professionals, this initiative represents a highly specialized training opportunity, with direct application in the fields of applied geosciences and energy engineering.

With a limited number of participants, the programme promotes a focused and intensive learning environment, fostering direct interaction with experts and effective technical development.

Participation is free of charge for students of the University of Lisbon, while a fee applies to other participants, reinforcing DER’s commitment to advanced training and talent development.
