On the 17th of April, the Mining Engineering and Energy Resources Alumni dinner took place at Salão Nobre, which brought together 90 alumni from different generations and was attended by Professor Rogério Colaço, president of Técnico Lisboa.

The beginning of the event was marked by long hugs between classmates and faces of surprise for those who hadn't seen each other for a few years. At the beginning of the dinner, Professor Maria João Pereira, president of DER, made a point of thanking all colleagues for their presence and the demonstration of community unity. In the words of Professor Amílcar Soares, coordinator of the Sustainable Energy and Georesources scientific area, underlined the importance of Técnico's new department in the European socio-economic context. Finally, Professor Rogério Colaço expressed his pleasure at seeing a community that belongs to Técnico's tradition gathered together.

The dinner also included the participation of the oldest alumnus of the course and distinguished academic, Professor Luís Aires de Barros, who graduated in Mining Engineering in 1958 and the first woman to graduate in Mining Engineering in 1979, Eng.ª Maria Fernanda Leite.
