Alumni of DER, Carina Veríssimo, returns to Técnico for a lecture about Critical Raw Materials

On March 19, Ana Carina Veríssimo, an alumni of DER, returned to Técnico Lisboa to share her experience at EIT Raw Materials with students of the Master's Degree in Geological and Mining Engineering (MEGM) and the Master's Degree in Energy Resources Engineering (MERE).

In the lecture entitled "Critical Minerals Act - The importance of Strategic Minerals for Europe", Ana Carina Veríssimo, Business Development Manager at  EIT Raw Materials, addressed the mission and objectives of the organization, which is dedicated to promoting innovation and sustainability in the raw materials sector throughout Europe.

With more than 15 years of experience in the raw materials industry, the engineer focused on the importance of strategic minerals for the future of Europe, highlighting the role of  EIT Raw Materials in promoting the competitiveness and security of the supply of critical raw materials for European industry.

The lecture, which aroused great enthusiasm among the students and professors present, also addressed her evolution from student to professional in the area of engineering and mineral resources management, serving as an inspiration for future professionals in the sector.
