Water Talks: a HACS course offered by DER

The Department of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineering (DER) at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) is responsible for a Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HACS) course dedicated to WATER. This course is conducted in a "Seminars" format with guest speakers from various fields (Musicians, Visual Artists, Sociologists, Journalists, Designers, Economists) who come to talk to our students about Water from a transdisciplinary perspective. It is named "Conversas sobre a Água / Water Talks," aiming to complement the students' scientific education with learning that deepens the understanding of current social, geopolitical, historical, artistic, ethical, deontological, and economic issues related to WATER that shape our society.
This course is offered to all undergraduate students at Técnico ULisboa. The classes are primarily designed to promote dialogue and interaction between the guest speakers, the course instructors, and, naturally, the students.
