On February 11th, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the launch of the 3rd volume of the book Girls in Science, an initiative by Ciência Viva, took place at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento – Centro Ciência Viva. The event featured the participation of researcher Ricardo Araújo, who had the honor of writing the preface for this edition.

The book highlights the journeys of over 100 young girls from across the country who incorporate science into their daily lives. These girls, from different regions and ranging from primary to secondary school, are actively involved in projects and international competitions in various scientific fields. Since its launch in 2022, the initiative has engaged more than 300 young participants, resulting in three publications aimed at inspiring future generations to pursue careers in science and technology.

The presence and contribution of researcher Ricardo Araújo in this publication serve as a testament to his commitment to education and the promotion of science among younger generations.
