The Department of Earth Resources (DER) invites the entire academic community and industry partners to attend the Ceremony for the Awarding of New Recursos+ Scholarships, which will take place on October 20, at 5:30 p.m., in the Salão Nobre of Instituto Superior Técnico.

This is a very special occasion, bringing together several partner companies and marking another step in strengthening the connection between Academia and the business sector, reinforcing our mission to offer a solid, up-to-date education aligned with the challenges of the future.

The ceremony celebrates the talent and merit of the students entering the Bachelor’s Degree in Mining and Energy Resources Engineering, as well as the commitment of the partner companies that make this support for the future of the sector possible.

At the beginning of the new academic year, nine Recursos+ Scholarships were renewed for students who met the defined requirements — namely, the completion of 42 ECTS during the first year. In addition, new scholarships were awarded, with 12 students admitted to the program as their first choice.

These results reflect the dedication, effort, and excellence of the students, as well as the involvement of the partner companies, which ensure the full payment of annual tuition fees and continue to invest in the future of Energy Resources Engineering.

This event also represents a unique opportunity to learn more about the business sector, establish direct contact with professionals in relevant fields, and understand how the education provided at Técnico connects with the needs and challenges of the job market.
