In the last May 14th 2023, the Portuguese Society of Geotecnics has given the José Folque Young Geotechnics in English Language 2023 award to the Alumni Tiago Manuel Gonçalves Nunes Rodrigues, of the Masters in Mining and Geological Engineering.

The work was awarded during the 18th Geotechnical National Congress - 12º Young Geotechnics Meeting, with the title "Geotechnical characterization of the rock mass surrounding the Aljustrel mining compound", was based on his Master Thesis with the same title, defended in December 5th, 2022 and the scientific supervisor was Professor Pedro Bernardo.
