Portugal with 4 Strategic Projects in Europe!

Four national projects have been selected to be part of a group of 47 key initiatives for the future of strategic raw materials in Europe. Three focus on lithium, and one on copper, reinforcing Portugal's position in this sector.

With these projects, Europe takes an important step toward strengthening the value chain and diversifying its supply sources. The goal? By 2030, to increase extraction to 10%, processing to 40%, and recycling to 25% of the annual consumption of these raw materials.

This investment is crucial to driving the green and digital transition, as well as strengthening strategic sectors such as defense and the aerospace industry.
