New Dinosaur Discovered in Portugal!

A team of researchers from the Faculty of Science and Technology at NOVA University Lisbon has identified a new species of iguanodont dinosaur that lived in what is now Portugal around 150 million years ago.
Bruno Camilo, PhD candidate in Georesources at the Department of Natural Resources Engineering (DER) and director of Ci2Paleo at the Natural History Society of Torres Vedras, highlights the significance of the discovery:
“This is the first time that different age groups of this type of dinosaur have been found in Portugal, which opens up new research possibilities.”
This marks yet another remarkable chapter in the paleontological history of Portugal, further emphasizing the global importance of our fossil heritage.
