On July 14th, the Department of Mineral and Energy Resources Engineering (DER) at Técnico Lisboa welcomed Dr. Consuelo Navarro, Associate Professor at the State University of Feira de Santana (Bahia, Brazil).

A specialist in Organic Petrology and Palynology, Dr. Navarro delivered a lecture focused on the study of potential hydrocarbon source rocks, a highly relevant topic for students, researchers, and faculty members in the field of energy resources.

During her visit, Dr. Navarro toured the department’s laboratories and the Décio Tadeu Museum. This occasion provided an excellent opportunity to foster scientific and technological exchange between the two institutions, encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration in future research initiatives.
